MAKEUP HELP!!!! Prom Lip Question. Please Help!!?

Alright, with prom coming up, I decided to play up my eyes. This means I need a neutral lip color. I want something neutral and glossy, but I hate the lip glosses that are sticky. Are there any good NOT sticky brands of lip gloss?





I would love some lip stick suggestions too if they are nice, but prefer glosses.





Color choices would be fantastic!!

i use clinique moisturizing lip gloss. it's shiny like a sticky lip gloss would be, it's just not sticky. it's 'moisturizing' so it acts as a chap stick and a lip gloss, making it not sticky, but it still has that shiny wet look. i'm not sure how much it is if you wanted to buy it, i got it as a free sample during one of their promotions when i bought something else. however, if you're near a department store that has a clinique counter (the bon ton and macy's have them) you can go in the day of your prom and they'll give you a free makeover (they always do makeovers for free, in hopes you'll buy their products, but you don't have to buy anything if you don't want to-that's what i did for my prom last year). that way you can get your eye makeup done professionally and get to try the lip gloss. the 'grapefruit' shade is probably the most neutral. i wear it just about every day. just call or stop in beforehand to make an appointment so they can definately fit you in. you could also stop in quickly and see if they would give you a free sample or let you try it, they're usually really really good about samples and letting you try things. if you're not near a macy's or bon ton i would suggest looking in wal mart or any drug store for a lip gloss that says it's 'moisturizing.' i've actually used bon bons lip gloss (those really cheap little ones at wal mart that are like 88 cents). they're kind of silly and targeted more towards pre-teen girls, but it actually gave a really nice shine without being sticky. (i used the light pink one, it's shiny without any color, they're the kind that come with a little beaded key chain that says 'cute' or 'juicy' or something on them).

My two favorite non sticky lipglosses are revlon super lustrous and covergirl wetslick. They have a pretty decent color choice between the two. Also, I really love the revlon matte collection right now, try their lipstick in nude attitude. This should help you achieve a more neutral look. Use it as a base for your lipgloss. Also, try finding a good lipliner, both of these will actually help the staying power of your lipcolor. Good luck!
no matter what brand you get, if you get a lip gloss thats basically just oil then it'll be ok. don't choose something with all the sparkles in it, they're usually sticky. and i like my wet 'n' wild mega last. pick a color that works for you. mine's the tube with the color and the clear gloss for over top
