Which makeup colors (eyes, lips) would work best with this dress for a formal event?

The dress is in the coral shade. My eyes are medium-dark blue, and I have a fair complexion with olive undertones (no pink at all). If it makes a difference, my hair is medium brown.Which makeup colors (eyes, lips) would work best with this dress for a formal event?
I would just keep it simple. I would find a color similar to your dress and blend it with a white color. keep it blended on your lid so that ity matches your dress. A little eye liner and mascara to make your eyes pop and you'll be good.





While you dont want to forget that your eyes are blue...dont forget that your dress is a color too! your dress is the focal point so match your dress first. Blue eyeshadows will not go with your dress.. so be careful. :)

i would say keep the makeup neutral since your dress is such a vibrant color. I'd suggest a smoky eye. If you want a really dramatic look, use blacks and greys. If not, use many different greys.


as far as lips go, a sheer pink gloss would be nice, or a nude lip.





NOTE: by nude lip i do not mean wear concealer on your lips that is lighter than your actual skin tone.


firstly, concealer will without a doubt dry out your lips.


secondly, the whole point of a nude lip is so the lips don't stand out and another feature is accentuated more. using a color lighter than your skin tone will make your lips look completely unnatural, and they wil really stand out, defeating the whole purpose.

instead use a nude lipstick or a nude gloss or both.
my prom dress looked almost like this, i have medium dark hair and an olive undertones so i used a light pink and a shinny pink eyeshadow, with black smokey eye. also black liquid eyeliner and a bit of bronzer instead of blush, and then a light pink gloss =D
I would go with a light bright pink that would compliment ur eyes since they r blue with black mascara and light (very very very) pink lipstick or shiny white gloss. and if the pink doesnt compliment ur eyes like it should, go with a bronze which is sure to compliment u, ur dress, and ur eyes.

As for make up, don't wear too much! A little blush, a sheer coral lipstick with gloss would be nice. Black liner and mascara with a touch of silver on the inner corners (be careful with this, though. If u put too much it will look bad!) And maybe a brownish-pink shadow.
you should use light brown eye shadow with a little bit of glitter shadow over that





also you could streak some glitter along the ends of your eyes and light light pink under your eyes





for the lips, you could use light pink ....??

Go for a very light blue on the inside of your eye, then a light to dark pink on the outer bit, i had a dress this colour and did my eyes like this, it looked wonderful!
well if that was my dress i would put a nice light purple on the bottom and a dark pink on top

I'd wear chestnut colored eyeliner and coral 001 eyeshadow from maybelline newyork (maybe shes born with it maybe its maybelline) and i'd also wear wetslicks light pink gloss
Eyes should be neutral since your dress is pretty out there/ bright.


You lips should be like a baby pink color..





Keep your face and hair simple, your dress should be the main focus,

Natural pinkish brown tones (skin tones). Bronzer or apricot coloured blush, lots of black mascara and eyeliner and keep your lips natural in a skin toned gloss.
you could try a light grey for eye shadow then use brown or gray eyeliner. for lips try using a very light pink lip stick or a shimmery gloss with a tiny hint of pink

If you can fill that out, WOW! Lol, but seriously I don't if you have it, but like a powder or really soft blue would be really ******* sexy.
i would go with a silver glittery eyeshadow and a good lip lam/gloss that doesnt really add color but adds shimmer and softness
i would say mix a light brown with dark brown eye shadow and then put on some red lipstick that doesnt pop to much or for a naturle look some nice clear lip gloss
that totally depends on your color, go to your nearest sephora or MAC store, they are PROS at that stuff
lay low on the make up, just the basics. like mascera and eye liner and sum stuff like that
