What should your eye makeup look like when you have red lips?

so for this school banquet,


i want to have bright red lips.


but my every day makeup consist of heavy black eyeliner,


so i was wondering wht kind of eye make up is usually used when you have bright red lips.


because i dont want to look like the joker with heavy black eyeliner and red lips.

Since you have a really bold color on your lips, you shouldn't really play up any other features of your face. When I wear red lip color, I tend to wear a white or silver on my eyes.





To make a good effect, I take a very fine brush and brush on the silvery eyeshadow on my eyelid. Just go up to the crease. That's it. Of course, if you aren't comfortable not wearing eyeliner, you can apply a very- and i mean VERY- small amount of eyeliner in a darker gray. Then, apply mascara.





This look will emphasize your lips while not letting your eyes clash.

Because you're going with a very bold color on your lips, make your eyes very neutral and natural looking, otherwise your eyes and lips will be competing with each other.





Start with a champagne color over your whole lid from lash line to brow bone. Then, blend a medium brown shade from your lash line to your crease. Next, blend a darker brown shade into the crease in the outer 2/3 of your eye. Finish with a light application of eyeliner and a few coats of mascara.
definetly dont wear the heavy eyeliner. If one thing is at the extremes, then the other has to be very toned down. So if your eyes are extremely done, black and smokey or whatnot, you want very natural lips. But for red lips, i suppose go easy on the eyes. Very light, pastel colored eyeshadows, maybe not even any eyeshadow. Just a very thin eyeliner line, and mascara. Be light!
Wear brown eyeliner. Not a lot. I know exactly what you mean when you say that you dont want to go without eyeliner. A brown liner will be softer than the black. Also wear a light brown eyeshadow.
I think you should go for a nude eye, but wear some eyeliner. Or a lot. It's your choice. It shouldn't be too clashy, the eyeliner, so it's fine.
