Some make-up artists than others, say it's better not to rub lips as a way to spread color lipstick after applied.

Its not to spread the color, its to blend it so it looks more natural. After you blend though, don't rub your lips together any more. It can become a habit that is very hard to break! For lipstick, just apply a coat or two on each lip and then blend. If you want to apply more, put on one more coat but thats it. You don't want to overdo it.Shouldn't rub lips when lipsticking, makeup artists?
